Sadaiv Puja ("Sadaiv Puja", "we", "us", "our") operates sadaivpuja.com and the Sadaiv Puja mobile app, through which devotees can book pujas, make donations (daan) to temples and causes, and consult astrologers online. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and share information when you visit our website, create an account, book a service, or make a payment.

By using Sadaiv Puja, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, we would request that you not use our services, or write to us so we can address your concern directly.

We collect information in three ways: what you give us directly, what our systems record automatically, and what our payment and communication partners share with us.

Information you provide

• Account details — name, mobile number, email address, and city.
• Puja and horoscope details — your date, time, and place of birth (janm kundli), gotra, family names for sankalp, and the specific puja or manokamna (wish) you'd like performed, where you choose to share these for a personalised puja or astrology consultation.
• Delivery address, when you order prasad or a puja kit to be shipped to you.
• Payment details you enter at checkout, which are captured directly by our payment partner, Razorpay, and not stored on our own servers (see Section 5).
• Anything you type into chat, WhatsApp, or a support ticket when speaking with our team or an astrologer.

Information collected automatically

• Device and log information — IP address, browser type, operating system, and pages visited, collected to keep the site secure and working correctly.
• Approximate location (city-level), used to show you puja timings, muhurat, and temple options relevant to your region.
• Cookies and similar technologies, covered separately in Section 6.

We use the information collected to:

• Process and confirm your puja booking, donation, or astrology consultation, and share necessary details (such as your name and gotra) with the pandit or temple performing the puja on your behalf.
• Send booking confirmations, puja-day reminders, video recordings or photos of your puja, and receipts, via SMS, WhatsApp, email, or app notification.
• Provide customer support and resolve issues with a booking, refund, or payment.
• Improve our services — for example, understanding which pujas or festivals devotees search for most, so we can plan availability.
• Detect and prevent fraud, spam, or misuse of the platform.
• Meet legal, tax, and regulatory record-keeping requirements applicable to donations and e-commerce transactions in India.

We share information only where it's necessary to deliver a service you've asked for, or where the law requires it:

• Pandits, temples & astrologers — your name, gotra, sankalp details, and puja preferences are shared with the specific pandit or temple partner fulfilling your booking.
• Payment processing — Razorpay handles your payment; see Section 5.
• Logistics partners — your shipping address is shared with our courier partners when you order prasad or a puja samagri kit.
• Communication providers — such as our SMS, WhatsApp Business, and email providers, solely to deliver booking and puja updates to you.
• Legal & regulatory bodies — where required to comply with a court order, government request, or applicable law, including tax reporting on donations where relevant.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

All payments on Sadaiv Puja — for puja bookings, donations, and consultations — are processed through Razorpay, an RBI-authorised payment aggregator. When you pay by card, UPI, net banking, or wallet, your payment details are entered directly on Razorpay's secure, PCI-DSS compliant checkout.

• We do not receive or store your full card number, CVV, or UPI PIN at any point.
• We receive only a payment confirmation, a masked reference (such as the last 4 digits of a card), and the transaction amount and status, which we use to confirm your booking and generate a receipt.
• Razorpay processes and secures this data under its own privacy policy, available at razorpay.com/privacy.
• Refunds, where applicable under our Cancellation & Refund Policy, are issued to the original payment method through Razorpay.

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your city and language preference, and understand how devotees use the site so we can improve it.

• Essential cookies — required for login, cart, and checkout to function; these can't be switched off.
• Preference cookies — remember your chosen language (Hindi/English) and city.
• Analytics cookies — help us understand which pujas, articles, or pages are most useful, using aggregated, anonymised data.

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time; doing so may affect how parts of the site function.

We retain booking, donation, and payment records for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet accounting, tax, and regulatory obligations under Indian law — typically up to 8 years for financial records. Birth and horoscope details you've shared for a completed consultation are retained only as long as your account remains active, or until you request deletion, whichever is earlier.

You can, at any time:

• Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Ask us to correct inaccurate details in your profile or a past booking.
• Request deletion of your account and associated personal data, subject to records we're legally required to retain.
• Opt out of promotional SMS, WhatsApp, or email communication — transactional messages related to an active booking will still be sent.
• Withdraw consent for the use of your birth or horoscope details for future consultations.

To exercise any of these, write to privacy@sadaivpuja.com from your registered email address. We'll respond within 30 days.

We use industry-standard safeguards — encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) across our website and app, access controls limiting which staff can view booking and payment details, and regular security reviews of our systems and vendors. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; if we ever become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

Sadaiv Puja is intended for use by individuals aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, technology, or legal requirements. We'll post the revised version here with an updated "Last updated" date, and for significant changes, notify you by email or an in-app notice.
